PRACTICE This exercise is for demonstration, practice and reflection. For simplicity, the same "scenario" will be used in all three modules. However, the reflection and study questions will be unique to each module. The particular scenario was chosen because of recent media coverage, involvement of the U.S. Public Health Service and National Institutes of Health, and with the assumption that most learners will be familiar with the subject. This practice is not intended to be viewed for a recitation of facts or statistics, but an exercise in critical thinking - to raise and answer worthwhile questions for yourself. Your own consciousness, biases and experiences will no doubt inform your learning.
